A circle scarf I made some time ago...
I remember doing this when I was younger, in the eighties: creating a pattern on fabric by making stripes and dots with a swab dipped in bleach!
Lovely scarf and cool picture! I am working on a crochet cowl/scarf myself these days. Maybe I should display the finished result the same way as you did... ;-)
